Alana De La Garza is an amazing actress who has been leaving an imprint on the small screen. In the year 1976, De La Garza was born to a Mexican American father and an Irish-American mom in Columbus Ohio. De La Garza soon moved to Texas and studied in physical therapy at University of Texas. De La Garza didn't stay for long in Texas prior to moving to Orlando, Florida. There she played many roles, ranging from local independent films to international commercials. She quickly found her passion for the art of acting even in tiny parts. Then she moved in New York in 2001 and got her first acting job in the role of Rosa Santos on All My Children which is a soap for the daytime. During the early part of the decade she was seen in tiny roles on JAG Vegas and Two and a Half Men. Her first big series role was in the 2004 short-lived television drama The Mountain. De La Garza played Maria Serrano as well as a variety of top TV actors such as Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pileggi and Mitch Plegge. In 2006 she was the lead character A.D.A. in Law & Order. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was on the show for 85 seasons. After a short period, she was transferred over to Law & Order: LA. De La Garza has received numerous nominations in the character's honor including Best Supporting Actress Television Imagen Foundation Awards or even ALMA Award nominees. In addition, the National Hispanic Media Coalition awarded her with the Impact Award, which is given for outstanding performances in the drama show. De La Garza was then cast as a recurring actor in CSI Miami. The role was Marisol Delko, the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. She played Dr. Lena Solis in NBC's dark drama Do No Harm.
